We are pleased to announce that Journalist, John Lorinc will be the next guest speaker on TheSmartCity.Blog on January 20th and will discuss urban issues facing Smart Cities.

John Lorinc is a Toronto journalist who writes regularly about urban issues for various media, including Spacing, the Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star. He is the 2019-20 Atkinson Fellow in Public Policy, and the Toronto non-fiction editor at Coach House Books. His recent article in the Toronto Star suggests that Smart cities will be cleaner, accessible, and even more democratic but governments adopting new tech must contend with risks, too.
