LocoMobi Extends its Reach with Launch of QuickPay Parking App in Sacramento Lots

November 6th, 2015 – Toronto, Canada

LocoMobi, Inc. is taking parking operations in Sacramento, California to the cloud with the launch of its QuickPay mobile app throughout selected lots. This marks the first stage in a series of implementations that will offer next-level convenience for parkers in key locations throughout the city. QuickPay signage displayed in all lots partnered with the parking app will guide patrons through the swift parking process.

The phone-based service will enable parkers to skip traditional parking methods in favor of a time-saving and hassle-free payment methodology. Once downloaded, the QuickPay app (available on iOS and Android) is linked with the user’s credit card, enabling parkers to create and extend sessions right from their cellular device. Users will be notified by text and/or email when a session is about to expire, allowing them to extend their parking without running back to their car or digging for change while greatly reducing the odds of a parking ticket.

The QuickPay platform is part of LocoMobi’s end-to-end product suite that encompasses a range of pioneering parking, transit and tolling solutions. The advantage of the system lies in the accessibility to a real-time “live” system that engages users and concurrently facilitates parking operations for parkers, lot operators and enforcement. This streamlined process will work to reduce costs, increase revenues and enhance efficiency on all service levels.  “We have seen exceptional growth in our mobile brand Quickpay as we expand beyond the 52 cities we now service”, says LocoMobi Co-founder and CEO Grant Furlane.” “Mobile and cloud-based applications are really taking off and we are pleased to drive this as an industry leader”, he adds.

The QuickPay service operates in all parking environments including on-street metered, surface lots and garages. The app provides a unique avenue for gated facilities that practically automates the entire parking process. Integrating into any existing parking barrier, the LocoMobi GateKit solution allows a seamless entry and exit by using advanced technology and existing mobile gateways. Parkers are able to gain access by scanning with the mobile app a dedicated QR code, strategically mounted on signage upon entering and exiting the facility. Additionally, the patented Bluetooth GateKit version offers an entirely automatic and hands-free access to gated facilities when using the QuickPay app with an enabled bluetooth handset.

LocoMobi Inc. is extending efforts to make its cloud-based technology available across the US marketplace, with additional rollouts scheduled for late 2015 and early 2016, servicing municipalities, private parking lots and college campuses. This is a step forward to enhance quality and performance in Sacramento’s parking services.
