LocoMobi Enters Smart Airports Market and Hires Director of Airport Infrastructure Technology

Martin, a long-time veteran in the Airport Industry, established Air Trans Source in 1991 as an air transport marketing consulting firm based near Toronto, Canada, with a network of associates around the world. The company was incorporated as Air Trans Source Inc. in 2008 when it acquired Momberger Airport Information, the world’s oldest (est. 1973) independent international airport news and information provider to some of the largest airports, industry organizations and airport industry technology and service providers.

Martin’s academic education includes a Master’s Degree with specialization in air transportation from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada and B.A. equivalents in Geography, Political Science, German Literature and Linguistic from the University of Marburg, Germany

As a consultant, Martin worked with his clients on air service development and marketing; prepared market studies and business development plans for airports, including the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA / Pearson Airport), John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport and Region of Waterloo International Airport, and currently supporting Lake Simcoe Regional Airport as Business Development Consultant. Among the circle of clients were suppliers of technology and services to airlines, airports and other aviation sectors and the world’s second largest manufacturer of robots and automated manufacturing systems, KUKA Robotics (based in Augsburg, Germany and Detroit, USA), where Martin held the position of Senior Sales Manager, North America and Asia for the innovative omniMove product line of mobile tool platforms for airline MROs, aerospace manufacturers and other industrial applications. Martin continues to be involved in airport consulting activities, also as a sub-consultant on airport projects with WSP , one of the world’s leading engineering professional services consulting firms  with 500 offices in 40 countries  and a strong global airport practice.
